Landlords Gavin Elgar and Gary Pottle opened the 'Copper Pottle' on the 26th June 2015. Gavin having a wealth of exerience after working 4 years at the first 'Micropub' in Britain and Gary who has a background in the sports and leisure industry. The aim of the 'Copper Pottle' is to provide a tradional community pub, where mobile phones are outlawed. A place to escape from jukeboxes, gaming machines and televison. Where conversation is the key and real ales can be appreciated. Each month (around the middle Wednesday of the month) the 'Copper Pottle' hosts a charity night, ranging from a Chilli snack night, Cheese and pickle night, Pie night and Canapes night. The money raised on the charity nights goes to local charity Strode Park, Herne Bay.
The 'Copper Pottle' boasts a full range of Real Ales, some from local micro brewers, a selection of Ciders and 7 different types of wine. The Real Ales selection is updated weekly.
The Landlords are hoping to open a beer garden in time for summer, where you will be able to sit, relax and chat, with food being provided on the barbecue under the watchful eye of head chef Gary!
